The Exhibition of the Design and Technology Masters course at Bezalel Academy examines the interplay between data and humanity and the people who produce data. The exhibition reflects the innovative spirit of this program and focuses on the ways in which designers and technology professionals can create alternatives that harness existing information in order to interpret, value and improve our quality of life.
These projects are trying to find out what we can learn and understand about ourselves and society through the use of technology that monitors and measures us, how technology is used to connect to ourselves, what interpretation the “machine” gives to our memories and dreams, and how technological progress and acceleration allow us to think in new ways about communication, human empathy, and life outside the planet.
The diverse collection of projects indicates the wealth of research that has developed over the years at the Design and Technology program, thanks to the mix of students and academic lecturers from various backgrounds and industries. The program is aiming to lead the industry and society to embrace a human-centered approach, meaning and experience. This approach characterizes the curriculum in the Design and Technology program and our graduates are agents of change and visionaries in all their fields of action and lead human, creative and innovative change.
